Services Offered

Nomad Tutors is a tutoring service offering in-home educational support for students ranging from grades K-12. The tutors are all Ontario Certified Teachers, aspiring student teachers currently enrolled in teacher’s college, or education professionals. The tutoring service is designed to be convenient for busy students and parents as the tutors come straight to the home or alternative location if preferred.

In-Home Tutoring Sessions

The tutoring service is designed to be convenient for busy students and parents as the tutors come straight to the home or alternative location if preferred. Hours are flexible (mainly evening and weekend work) and designed to fit around the student and parents’ lifestyle.

Tutoring sessions can be individual or have up to three students at the same time. Theses sessions can take place in the home of the student, the teacher or a mutually designated meeting point.

Online Tutoring Sessions

Test Prep and Study Resources

Each tutor is an education professional and has many different resources and study tips to share! Study resources are catered to the style of learning that best meets the needs of the student. Each tutor is able to provide extensive studying techniques and "tricks of the trade" in order to help students achieve academic success.

The "Student Portal" option on the Nomad Tutor website is full of external links and password protected websites that are given to current students working with a Nomad tutor. These resources and online forums are an excellent tool to promote student-directed learning and help students master their personal style of learning.

Test prep help comes in many forms of direction: studying tips, organizational skills, time management, and stress management skills. Each of these skills help students master the art of writing tests.
